South Africa’s own Superman, Siv Ngesi

Sep 6, 2019

It is common knowledge that we enjoy working with kind people and since we met Siv Ngesi we knew he was a kind man.  But as our working relationship evolved, we came to learn that not only is Siv a kind person, he is also one of the most compassionate and ambitious people that we have ever crossed paths with.

You may know that Siv is part of the upcoming South African movie, Knuckle City.  But did you know that Siv played a big part in the behind-the-scenes work of getting this movie produced?  The film is a “riveting exploration of the psychology” of a fighter from the Mdantsane township of South Africa and although the story is based on boxing, it gives viewers a glimpse of the challenges some people face when growing up in certain parts of the country.  Knuckle City has not even been released in theaters yet, but it success is inevitable as it will be featured at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival in September.  We are so excited to catch the release of the movie in South Africa in October 2019 and follow its success.

One of Siv’s talents is acting, but he is born a people person and has a natural way of interacting with people.  For this reason Empire Entertainment chose Siv to interview the cast and director of the new film: Angel Has Fallen, all the way in Los Angeles.  Actors like Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman immediately connected with Siv and the conversations flowed as if they were long last friends.  See more about their interaction and Siv’s LA experience here.

In addition to Siv’s involvement in the entertainment industry, Siv invests his time and energy in educating people on the current issues our country faces.  His uncensored honesty might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but he is not afraid to point out the truth and to put his money where his mouth is.

When Siv is not busy reminding us to be better South Africans, you may find him spending time with the children from the Nehemia Safe House.

Siv Ngesi, we don’t know where you get the time to do what you do, but we love being part of your journey and making stuff happen.
