Faf de Klerk and Miné van Niekerk Tie The Knot!

Springbok scrum-half Faf de Klerk wedded his long-lasting sweetheart Miné van Niekerk at La Paris Home in Franschhoek on Saturday, 1 October, encompassed by their dearest friends and family.

The pair met through mutual friends back in 2015 and Miné reportedly invited him to a wedding thereafter. Their love grew over the years and Faf proposed to Miné in May this year

Faf’s Springbok’s teammates Steven Kitshoff, Vincent Koch and Miné’s brothers were the rugby player’s groomsmen, suited up by EuroSuit. While other players include Willie Le Roux, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Lukhanyo Am, Jesse Kriel, Frans Malherbe, Damian de Allende also attended the couple’s wedding.

Miné looked radiant in a wedding gown designed by Cape Town fashion designer, Lenalisa while Faf looked dapper in a dull green three-piece suit by The Tux Tailor, which may very well turn out to be more famous than his South African banner speedo among the women!

The venue was transformed into an elegant, picture-perfect fairy tale by AVZ Décor and Designs. The decor was on point, everything from the beautiful flowers to the tiny table details.

The Instax crew set up a photo booth and captured the celebrations throughout the evening, creating long-lasting memories.

Soon after, the blushing newlyweds jetted off to honeymoon at the untainted Maldives at the Kadima Resort, courtesy of Priority Escapes.

Faf took to Instagram to give fans a glimpse into their heartfelt island excursion, popping Champagne to commend the beginning of their journey together.

“Thanks @priorityescapes for making our journey as smooth possible and @kandima_maldives for a special 1st day of honeymoon,” Faf captioned his post when sharing a glimpse of their trip with his followers.

A special thanks to all our sponsors that made this wedding extra special, we couldn’t have done it without you!
